Get to know some of the best current and former players at Gamescape. These players have topped tournaments at some of the highest levels of competitive Magic the Gathering play.
Hailing from Tallahassee, Aras has played Magic locally for over 15 years. Having made it to both a Pro Tour and Nationals when he played competitively, Aras now focuses most of his efforts judging and vending tournaments. Occasionally you can still find him playing something foil at a local tournament.

David Maddox began playing Magic in Odyssey block, and continued to play through Champions of Kamigawa, tired of being beaten by other people all the time, especially his friend Alex Smith. He came back to the game in Rise of the Eldrazi, and since then has put up results playing his favorite combo decks. His most notable finishes are SCG Birmingham Top 4 with Hive Mind, a TCGplayer top 8 with Valakut ramp, and many Open series top 64's and IQ top 8s. You can see him at fnm probably playing whatever Dustin Flora tells him to.
David Bollenback began playing Magic casually near the release of the Mirrodin block, though he spent the majority of his time playing Yu-Gi-Oh! competitively. After taking several years off from the game, he returned to Magic in early 2013, making good on his childhood promise that he would eagerly fund an unhealthy Magic habit when he got his first “real” job.
While an eager participant in most formats, David prefers the rotating card pool offered by the Standard format. Having achieved back to back Day 2 finishes in his first two SCG Opens in Atlanta and Orlando, complete with an ultimately unfulfilling second place finish in SCG Orlando, David is eager to add to his Magic success.

Began playing Magic in Invasion Block, playing more regularly after the release of Ravnica. He prefers to play locally and judge, but every so often he'll make the trek to another city or state if he's feeling lucky.

Growing up in Baton Rouge, LA, Dustin started playing Magic in 1993, quitting the game, for what he thought was forever, in 2000 to start college. Over a decade later, and back in the Southeastern US, Dustin was convinced to attend a Pre-Release at Gamescape and was instantly hooked with the competitive bug all over again. Within the first year of coming back to the game Dustin made it to the finals of his first SCG Open, the top four of another SCG open and qualified for back to back Pro Tours, all in different formats.

Became aware of Magic in middle school around the time Odyssey block was released but did not develop a competitive interest in the game until Time Spiral. After a brief hiatus, I starting playing again after the release of M10 and have never looked back. I considered myself to be a very average PTQ Grinder until I relocated to Tallahassee, Florida to attend FSU. After being brought under the wings of many fantastic local players and tossed through the fire that is Tallahassee Magic, I've now played on 2 Pro Tours, won a Grand Prix, and accomplished a few other small achievements.
Started playing magic during darksteel, thus I came in at a pretty spoiling time. Have played off and on competitively since then. Graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering but am not pursuing the field currently. Working full time doing Systems/IT/Networking at FSU to fund my passion of being a filmmaker, photographer, and audio engineer.
